Prime Minister Imran Khan left for Bahrain on Monday on the invitation of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa to attend the national day of Bahrain as its guest of honour.
During the visit, the prime minister will have a one-on-one meeting with King Khalifa and hold delegation-level talks with Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
The meeting between the leaders would cover the entire gamut of bilateral relations and matters pertaining to regional and international issues, the statement added.
Bahrain's highest civil award will be conferred upon the prime minister on the occasion. The news was confirmed by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari earlier this week to Arab News.
